Now there was an interesting question, and bit of information. It wasn't uncommon for vampires to attack without warning; considering what the demons had been doing to their favorite food source it was no wonder they had grown hostile toward the demons.
"What reason do I have to run around butchering every pretty girl I come acrossed? Just because others of my species of a grudge against demons doesn't mean I'm going to follow suit." Vexzel paced a bit as he thought. Circling Moriko with interest. Then another thought crossed his mind. "Speaking of following suit you've yet to give me your name." It would be rather awkward to leave this as half of an introduction, and troublesome in the future.

Vexzel. She knew nothing of the name save for her own liking of it. It had a sort of power behind it, implying a strength beyond what the eye could see. Walking past him, her shoulder barely brushing his, she returned to the bench she had been seated on moments before. Sitting down she crossed her legs, her emerald green eyes casting a fleeting glance in his direction before staring up into the storm grey sky. "Well Vexzel, I do hope it is a pleasure to make your acquaintance ." Toying with a stray thread on her ebony jacket she let her stare fall from the sky, her eyes settling on a puddle, the drip drop of rain creating little ripples across it's surface. A faint smile streaked across her lips, lips still stained crimson, and in a whisper she spoke. "I must say thus far I am impressed. most vampires would have already attempted to take my life without any sign of hesitation. " Her smile grew, though remained hardly noticeable. "But you, you are different. You stand there, watching my every move, but you haven't yet drawn that beauty of a blade you have there at your side. Why?" Her smile faltered, replaced by a simple look of curiosity she looked up at him, her eyes sparkling, "What are you thinking as you stand there watching me?"

"ENOUGH FROM BOTH OF YOU. I WILL NOT TOLERATE THIS. IF IT CONTINUES TO HAPPEN I WILL HAVE NO CHOICE BUT TO CUT YOU DOWN!" yelled Nikita in a different voice.

This girl didn't smell quite like an arch-demon or anything so she probably wasn't all that in the know. "Vexzel." She probably wouldn't know any significance behind the name itself.
Still things might get messy if she did......... or if something else showed up.

Moriko watched the man intently, a single question running through her mind as he jumped down from his perch. Friend or Foe? Sure he was a vampire but hell, they weren't all that horrid. She dared to take a step closer, her piercing green eyes never living his glowing orbs.
She restrained a faint chuckle. He'd hit the nail on the head. Her grip on the saber claw tucked behind her back loosened, though she had not failed to notice the blade tethered to his side. "Oh dear, am I that obvious?" Her sly smirk never faltered. "Yes, I do happen to be rather bored. " She stopped, not realizing she had advanced and stood perhaps a foot away from a possible threat. "And who might i have the honor of meeting this fine, rainy evening?"

Out of the corner of his eye Vexzel was keeping an eye on the girl. He already thought Moriko was a demon judging by her scent. Still at least she hadn't tried to attack him or anything, that would have gotten messy.
Still Vexzel wasn't all that amused with her reaction, only reaching for a weapon. Still at least that wouldn't lead to a fight and possibly killing her.......... yet. If she had blinked she would have pissed Vexzel jumping down from the street light, landing just out of blade's reach from Moriko. Now he was actually facing her. "Bored out of your mind eh?" That sounded more like a question than a statement.

Moriko began to tap her foot rather impatiently on the coll cement, splashing in the small pool the rain had let gather there. Her hair was becoming throughly soaked and she brushed it back with her hand, not wanting the water dripping it to blur her vision. She loved the rain as much as she hated it. Beautiful as it was it dulled the senses and wiped away scents.
A bored expression on her face she began muttering to herself. "Hell, for Sin City this place sure is dull this time of night." She wiped the water of her pale, slender legs. "I'd even be satisfied with some one to talk to." Standing she paced. Before long she turned to walk away, the wind blowing at her back. After only taking a few short steps she froze in her tracks, a smirk slipping nicely across her lips. the wind had brought with it a scent which she had not earlier noticed, the rain most have smothered it. Turning on her hell she looked up, her eyes scanning rooftops and the like for any sign of life. Ah, there. He stood upon a dimly shinning light post, seemingly oblivious to her. Moriko found that unlikely. She said not a word, but instinctively her hand snaked under her jacket and around her side. Her hand came to rest on the hilt of her most prized possession.

Ah Vegas, or what was left of it. Too bad Sin City had become Slaughters-ville. The young man standing on a nearby street light, amazingly it still stood, would have much rather been gambling. Yet that would have to wait. Always leave it to demons to ruin something of interest Vexzel thought.
Demons never could control themselves. Always blindly chasing some sin or victim never being able to even slow their savage instinct. Even had always resented that lack of control. He remained still, balanced on the top of the curved street light simply surveying the city. Of course his long cherished Osafune was sheathed at his side, and at a moment's notice he could be tearing someone apart with it. Vexzel seemed oblivious of the fire-bender approaching below him. Just how he liked first encounters to seem.
forever and endless. « Result #10 on Jan 7, 2008, 7:04pm »
Heavy rain poured endlessly from the deep blue sky, the heavens crying for the recently lost lives of the innocent. A humorless laugh passed through the lips of a young woman aimlessly wandering the streets of Los Vegas. No one in this city was genuinely innocent, not even the little boy she had found half devoured in an alley a little way back. The sins one commits in a life time, intentional or not, are boundless. The disobedience of a young child, a sin in the eyes of the ‘Holy’, and there were plenty of those holy beings around these parts. Again a faint humorless laugh slipped though the young woman’s lips, lips stained crimson from what one could only assume to be blood. She may not have been a vampire, but regardless she never minded the taste of blood, hot and metallic against her tongue. Or the fear in her victims eyes. Seeing their fear had a tendency to excite her and on occasion she'd been known to tear so viciously into her little plaything and leave nothing more than ash behind.
Ah yes, it took fire to create ash. And fire she was more than fond of. It's flames licked at her body often, never leaving a mark upon her delicately pale complexion. She was a master of fire, her ability to wield it's destructive ability was uncanny. Growing bored she continued on through Sin City, looking for something to entertain herself with. The wind rushed past her, wrestling her hair free from it's loose ponytail. She felt the soft strands fall lightly against her shoulders, the sensation sending a small chill down her spine. Not bothering to pull it back up she took a seat on the nearest bench and muttering a few words in her ancient tongue formed a small ball of fire in her hand. For awhile she messed around with it she shaped it into a blossoming rose. Closing her fist around it she snuffed it out and sat in the remote silence of the city's outskirts, waiting for something of interest to occur.
